The first Saturday of May is huge in the comic book world. Don’t miss Free Comic Book Day at Comic Book University on Saturday, May 3rd. Celebrating its thirteenth year, Free Comic Book Day offers a variety of comic books to ensure that readers of all ages can find something to stir their imaginations.
In addition to free comics, CBU will be having its annual FCBD Sale. Take advantage of 20% OFF Hardcovers, Statues & Toys; 10% OFF Softcovers; and 50% OFF Back Issues.
Appearing this year will be Blue Juice Comics Accelerators artist Gavin Smith, Action Lab Comics Nutmeg artist Jackie Crofts, MonkeyBrain Comics Prime-8s artist Kyle Latino, Kaboom! Garfield artist George Lane, and Topps & Cryptozoic trading card artist Jason Keith Phillips. All will be doing original one-of-a-kind sketch commissions. Mad Magazine writer Scott Nickel will also be dropping by.
Free Comic Book Day kicks off at 10 a.m. and runs until 9 p.m. at The U.
